The 10th DZHK Retreat took place in Frankfurt, with a special invitation to Prof. Tomasz Guzik, Editor-in-Chief of Cardiovascular Research from the University of Edinburgh, UK. He delivered a compelling talk on inflammation and oxidation in vascular biology, particularly in the context of hypertension. It was inspiring to witness the remarkable progress made by DZHK members in translating their basic research into preclinical and clinical studies, especially in the fields of gene therapy and the use of CRISPR technology in in-vivo models.
The retreat also provided a valuable opportunity for DZHK members to establish collaborations and expand their networks.
In the evening, we enjoyed a lively party with a dinner buffet aboard the restaurant ship MainNizza.
