This conference marked the first time it brought together prominent figures in the field of cardiovascular disease and genetics. Our team members from the Institute of Cardiogenetics consisting of Luis, Nadine, and Redouane, had the opportunity to present our work with two posters and a presentation.
Luis did an excellent job presenting his research on the GWAS CAD risk locus 6p24 (PHACTR1/EDN1). Additionally, we were thrilled to win the poster prize for our project titled “Colocalization between human SMC molecular QTLs and vascular disease GWAS identified loci with pleiotropic effect.”
Overall, the conference was the perfect opportunity for exchanging ideas, forming new collaborations, and generating innovative concepts. We are very much looking forward to being part of this conference again in two years.
