PlaqOmics Network meeting at Frimley Hall (Camberley/London)

Thanks to Manuel’s Lab, our recent Leducq PlaqOmics Network meeting was truly exceptional, lasting for 1.5 days. The sessions were incredibly engaging, encompassing a wide range of topics from fundamental research to potential translational targets. By leveraging single-cell data along with spatial transcriptomics and informative gene network analyses, we are making significant progress in comprehending the role of different cellular sub-phenotypes in various stages of atherosclerosis. Excitingly, several promising drug targets were presented, indicating that we are on the brink of implementing them in clinical settings and developing new therapies – a truly remarkable achievement! In addition to the scientific discussions, we also had the pleasure of visiting Windsor Castle one afternoon, which added a delightful touch to our gathering. As we eagerly look forward to our final PlaqOmics meeting scheduled for the end of this year, we anticipate even more enriching experiences and fruitful collaborations.
