Unfortunately, the threat from Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 is not diminishing in the foreseeable future, but will probably get worse.
We in the ICG are trying to react to this as carefully as possible, that means "no panic", but looking ahead carefully.
If possible, we are moving our work to home office. Longer-term experiments will not be started and actions like internships or unfortunately the "Girls-Day" have to be cancelled.
"Social distancing" is the new advice. However, in order not to lose contact to each other we will try to meet virtually as often as possible. Our first virtual lab meeting took place today at noon (worked very well), on Monday we will hold our first virtual status seminar.
At the moment one can only wait and see how the general situation develops.
Hoping for the best!
