First PhD in down under!

Today, after a 3,5 years in Australia, now married and with very cute babygirl twins, Mariana was back at the ICG to defend her PhD thesis about "rare variants in coronary artery disease".
End of the Month she and her family will travel back to Australia with her "Dr. rer. nat." on board.
She promised to be back to Lübeck in 2-3 years, just before Emily and Sophie start school! (@Mariana: we count on you)

It was a wonderful event: a very professional presentation, lively discussion with the audience, and last but not least a very good Q&A session between the reviewers and Mariana.

Congratulations to Mariana! You did a real great job!
Thanks also to Ingrid for supervision of Mariana.

Now, the times of the former Genomatics group (including Benedikt) at the ICG is definitely gone.
