New Role as Senior Guest Editor @ Circulation: Genomic and Precision Medicine

Mid of July I got a very surprising and delightful mail from the Editorial Office of Circulation: Genomic and Precision Medicine, asking if I´m interested to join their team as a Senior Guest Editor.

And I said yes ;-)

Under the new leadership of Kiran Musunuru "Circulation: Cardiovascular Genetics" changed to "Circulation: Genomic and Precision Medicine" effective January 2018. The current Editorial Board can be found here: https://www.ahajournals.org/circgen/editorial-board

With Prof Chris Semsarian as the new Editor-in-chief exciting times ahead! With time difference in Australia, "Circulation: Genomic and Precision Medicine" will be the journal that never sleeps, as Chris posted on Twitter. ;-)

I remember the launch of "Circulation: Cardiovascular Genetics" very well. It was at prime time of GWAS.

The inauguration of Circulation: Cardiovascular Genetics started with an Editorial entitled: "A Dream, a Journey, and a Promise" by Ramachandran S. Vasan and Calum A. MacRae.

A lot happened since than (see figure below).

Milestones achieved over the last 10 years.

Taken over the position as Senior Guest Editor for "Circulation: Genomic and Precision Medicine" means that I step-down as Specialty Chief Editor for "Frontiers Cardiovascular Genetics and Systems Medicine" section effective mid of august. Tanja Zeller, DZHK professor and dear colleague, from Hamburg took over my position starting August 15th. Very happy to have such a perfect successor.

I´m very excited to be part of the "Circulation: Genomic and Precision Medicine" team and look forward to further increase the visibility and impact of this Journal!

Hope to see your papers!
