From February
25th to 27th around 140 members of DARTER (Delivery of antisense RNA
therapeutics) met in Bilbao at the Biocruces Bizkaia Health Research Institute
for the inaugural meeting.

travelled to Bilbao on Sunday and the flight from Frankfurt was nice and
without any turbulences. At Bilbao airport I already met some participants of
the meeting who were easy to identify by their posters. From the bus that took
us to the city center we had a nice view of the Guggenheim museum.
The next
three days were packed with interesting talks about delivery, model systems and
toxicity, a poster session and lots of discussions.
Of course
networking did not come too short. On Monday we went out for a Pintxos Crawl
which included a sightseeing tour with visits in three bars that serve basque
Tapas that are called Pintxos.
All in all it
was a very exciting meeting and I met so many nice people. I’m looking forward
to see everyone again next year!
