Today, I gave a talk about "molecular genetic analysis for cardiac arrhythmias" at the "Rhythmologie Up2date" meeting organized by Roland Tilz from our clinic. The meeting was held in Hamburg, and the primary audience were GPs and cardiologists from Hamburg and the surrounding area.
Hopefully, I could raise awareness of the possibilities of molecular genetic diagnosis in patients with arrhythmias. Current panel sequencing approaches can detect pathogenic variants in about 20-25% of analysed cases. Numbers will likely increase over the next couple of years.
