On Monday, we (Zouhair, Marlon and myself) travelled to Berlin to meet our colleagues from the ERA-CVD funded consortium ENDLESS.
The travelling was very smooth, beautiful sunny weather and almost no traffic jam.
We started the meeting with a delicious pre-meeting dinner at a restaurant close to the Gendarmenmarkt in the city center of Berlin - it was a very relaxed atmosphere.
Next morning the consortium meeting started at 9:00 and each partner group gave an update on progress and plans for the future. We all felt that, although the consortium is in its very first year, we achieved a lot.
Overall, we had fantastic, inspiring scientific discussions. We all looking forward to meet next time in Paris!
On a more personal note, it is always great to come back to Berlin, a city where I lived for three years (1997-2000). And it is always particularly great to meet Vera Regitz-Zagrosek who introduced me to cardiogenetics more than 20 years ago.
