The Laborjournal publishes on a regular basis a ranking of German scientist in different disciplines. The ranking is based on publications and citations - with all its difficulties,
However, being in the top 25 is a great feeling. ;-)
The best thing is that in the top 50 several colleagues and friends from my PhD time are also listed. Top human geneticist is Markus - my PhD supervisor (together with Prof. Propping, who sadly passed away two years ago).
There is only one thing, I´m a bit older today than on the pic above. This pic was actually taken more than 10 years ago. ;-)
