Girl´s day

On Thursday we hosted 7 young girls interested in Medicine and Science at our Institute. This visit was part of the initiative "Girl´s day".

“Girl´s Day – Future Prospects for Girls” is a nationwide career orientation project for girls.
On Girl`s Day female students aged 10 years upwards get to know professions and subjects of study with less than 40 percent proportion of women.

In our institute we do have more females than males, but this project is also meant to interest girls to Science and Research.

Tobais and Anja with 5 of our young visitors.

The girls got insights into DNA isolation and visualization, as well as working under a hood with cell culture.
Overall, the feed-back was very positive.
We hope to see them back in a few years as students ;-)
