From the 4th until the 7th of April the Conference of the German Society for Cardiology (DGK) was held in Mannheim.
Various Lectures were held in parallel and several hundred posters were presented. On Thursday, Anja gave a poster presentation for the calcification of iPSC-derived VSMCs, where various interested researchers and clinicians attended. On Friday morning, Krishan presented about his zebrafish platform and the identification of CAD-associated risk genes/loci. This presentation was also followed by many researchers and clinicans with great interest.
In the end he won the second place of Rudi-Busse-Young Investigator Award für Experimentelle Herz-Kreislaufforschung.
Even though, most of the Conference was rather clinical, we learnt a lot and gained new viewpoints and ideas for our research.
