Last Friday we hosted the "10 years of GWAS" symposium under the motto: Looking back - looking forward. The meeting was very well organized by Nadine and Marina (many thanks!) and the meeting place "Hansemuseum" was perfect.
Inke and myself invited colleagues, collaborators, and friends with whom we worked together in the last decade to decipher the genetics of CVD. We are deeply thankful to all speakers!
The agenda was tight and after one day full with talks and personal perspectives about "10 years of GWAS" we were a bit exhausted but we enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Schiffergesellschaft.
To make the story complete, the local news paper reported about our meeting and called it a kind of "Familienfeier". Very well said! It almost felt like meeting family ;-)
