Since Ilyas joined the ICG we started collaborations on cardiovascular genetics with Pakistan.
Yesterday, we had a first Skype conference to introduce our Institute to Professor Syed Zahid Jamal and his team from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease in Karachi.
The NICVD plays a central role in caring for patients with heart disease in Pakistan. It is the first tertiary cardiac care institute in South Asia as well as the flagship facility for cardiology in Pakistan.
