It’s a pleasure to be involved in interesting research projects, one of such a project in which we are currently involved is about Pemphigoid diseases (Bullous pemphigoid) within the CRU consortium unit (Dermatology). The long-term objective of this study is to establish new therapeutics and tools for early diagnosis of pemphigoid diseases and to unravel molecular pathways driving Bullous pemphigoid. To share ideas and to further know about the updates from other related projects within CRU consortium unit (Dermatology), a retreat and a get-together was conducted in the beautiful Baltic Sea-side city of Boltenhagen (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany). This city is situated about 30 km in the east of Lübeck. The aims of the retreat were to get an update of all projects and their participants to identify preliminary data which is acquired to organize a renewal proposal in the next 6 to 8 months. Everyone who is involved was tasked to present their project related results, to access the prospective of project abstracts and individual grants later to be submitted this year.
Beside the work and constructive talks about projects, I was enjoying a nice stay in the beautiful Seehotel Grossherzog von Mecklenburg. I came back to came Lübeck along with other researchers from the core unit in an enjoyable bus ride.
