On tuesday the inauguration and the first user meeting of the Lübeck University Omics Cluster took place at the CBBM.
The meeting started with an introduction by Hauke Busch followed by a presentation by myself about the DZHK OMICs Resource Projects as one of the first projects using the computational power of the cluster. Then Frank Rühlemann, one of the administrators of the cluster, gave an overview about its hard and software.
The cluster provides campus-wide high-performance computing for very reasonable costs: at the moment there are only costs for disk usage of 0.20€/GB/year.
