CADgenomics - understanding coronary artery disease risk genes

After meetings held in Munich, New York, San Diego, and Leicester, this year Lübeck was host of the annual CADgenomics consortial meeting. CADgenomics is a trans-atlantic consortium funded by the Leducq foundation.

The planning took almost 6 months: choosing the appropriate hotel, meeting location, restaurants, meals, etc. Many thanks for Nadine and Marina for taking care. The organization was perfect. What we could not choose was the weather - the weather in Lübeck is always unpredictable.
However, this time we were really lucky, Lübeck presented as sunny, warm and with only a little rain at the last day. We could not have been luckier. Actually, since then it is almost raining everyday. A very rainy summer this year. :-(

A very special moment was to watch Soccer alltogether on Monday evening.

The meeting itself was scientifically very interesting and inspiring. Meeting all the members of this consortium and discuss the progress of our joint projects in a very relaxed atmosphere is why, to some extend, we choosed to work in science.
And when, in the end, the results seems to have an impact on patients life in the future we might accomplish what we promised.
Hope to see all colleagues and friends soon, maybe in Paris or New York.
