On Monday I attended the annual meeting of the UK Biobank (ukbiobank.ac.uk)
which took place in the QEII Centre in the very heart of Westminster, London.
The
meeting included an interview of some of the 0.5 million British participants
contributing their data to the Biobank. These participants are screened
throughout their life, enabling the Biobank to produce large amounts of amongst
others epidemiological data that are provided to researchers all over the
world.
Due to the superb location, I had the unique opportunity to convey
my congratulations to the queen who became 90 last week… unfortunately she was
not around :-).
