I just heard that Prof. Peter Propping passed away last
night after battling cancer the last years. I´m deeply saddend about this loss.
Peter Propping was my PhD supervisor back in 1996. At that
time he was director of the Institute for Human Genetics in Bonn. I will never
forget these years.
Besides all his scientific and societal achievements he
was a personal mentor not only to me but for all his members of the Institute
for Human Genetics in Bonn.
I´m very grateful to be one of his students and mentees.
I give my condolences to the entire
family.
