Last year I blogged about the University Retreat and I complained about the lack of interest.
This year the interest was much higher and the lecture hall AM4 was almost crowded. A rare occassion on a Friday afternoon.
I´m not quite sure about the reason - maybe it was because of Daniel and Frank giving talks about our recent successes. ;-)
It was great to hear about all the achievements we reached within the last two years.
Now, we need to translate these achievements into external funding, like a DFG-funded research unit or an SFB/TRR. The first steps have already been sucessfully taken - more about this in the upcoming months.
