On Sunday,
18th of October, we participated in the Stadtwerke Lübeck Marathon, one
of the many traditions at our institute.

It was
already our 4th time, and what a success! We finished 15th
out of 132 teams in the relay run (10x 4.2 km), with a great time of 3:06:27 h
- our best finishing time so far!

| The clock was counting the time for the marathon, which started much earlier :) - by the way: the guy on the very left tried really hard but still we were faster! His team finished 16th, and they were our "runner-up" last year already :) |
The weather
was not in our favor - it was a bit cold and wet, and, towards the end, it even
started raining!
But
nonetheless, we had the support of our fans!!!

Despite the
weather it was a lot of fun, and it’s always nice to see how the people in the
institute engage in outside activities as well!
Our thanks go
to Jeanette for making it possible, especially the cool shirts!!, to our fans,
to Karim and Matthias for the really nice pictures, and, of course, to the team, with members of the IIEG and friends!
