The IIEG members, who joined the Leducq meeting in sunny San Diego, arrived just in time at the IIEG to celebrate the sucessful defense of Sogol's master's thesis.
Sogol identified and functionally characterized a novel LOF mutation in NOS1 gene in one of our families presenting with premature myocardial infarction. Although it is not yet clear if this mutation is indeed causal for MI in this respective family, the result is a good starting point for further studies.
