Yesterday, we were again invited to talk about our work at the "Exploring the code" lecture series. This time, the mic was given to the PhD students.
As Ingrid promised two weeks ago, Michaela, Benedikt, and Jaafar rocked the show!
Benedikt gave a great talk about how we analyze genome-sequencing data and how complex the genetic mechanisms of a disease really is. Michaela talked about protein modelling and how we aim to identify new drugs and therapies. Jaafar, showed the students how candidate disease genes are analyzed in the wet-lab and how we bit by bit unravel the mechanisms of diseases.

It is really great to be 'Doktormutter' of such enthusiastic and talented PhD students.
My thanks go to Ingrid, Stephie and Zouhair for their excellent supervision.
